The 32nd America's Cup
For the first time in history, the America's cup sailing races were held in Europe, because the defending challenger was Switzerland. The races were held in Valencia, Spain, and since David is such a boat lover, we could not let this opportunity pass us by. We took a weekend trip to Valencia and gave David an early birthday present of going out on the spectator boat to see the race close up. It was the experience of a lifetime, and there was something fun for each one of us to do!
This is the challenging boat from New Zealand
The Defender!!!
Alinghi from Switzerland!
They won again and we hope that the 33rd America's Cup will also be in Valencia in 2011.
What fun!!!! Olivia and Isabella get to practice sailing while still on land!!!
Christopher is so excited to see all the boats that he gives mom big kisses! His dad really loves the big boat in the background!
David's spectator boat to watch the race
Chanelle, Sean, and Mary Alice won a cool Segway Tour while David was watching the Race and Shelley was watching the kids!? It was a blast!
