Virtual Prayer Walk

Even if you can't visit us in Sevilla, you can have an active part

in our ministry through prayer.

These photos will help you "pray through our city" without having to leave your home.

This is the Toro del Oro, or the Golden Tower so named because of the gold colored tiles that adorn its cupola. It was built by the moors as a watchtower over  the port of Sevilla. It was the first thing merchants and sailors would see as they entered the city.

***  Pray with us that the thousands of visitors and new citizens that come to Sevilla each year would look to God as the True Protector of the city as He watches over their hearts and souls.

The city streets are alive with the sights and sounds and smells of Spanish city life. People live closely together and enjoy being near friends and family.

  • Pray with us that we as "outsiders" can break into this culture through deep and meaningful relationships to our friends and neighbors.

3.

The Matador is the ultimate macho man in the Sevillian culture. He is willing to risk his very life to conquer the bull.

***Pray with us that especially the men of Sevilla would be willing to risk everything to conquer the demons in their lives. That they would have the courage to be willing to lay down culture, tradition and religion in order to find a relationship to the living God.

4.

Spanish Square Bridge

There are many beautiful bridges in Sevilla. Most connect the east and west sides of the river, but some were built to decorate the city gardens.

*** Pray with us that God would allow us to build bridges to our neighbors and the people of Sevilla that would allow us to carry the Gospel Message of Hope to them. Please pray for creative ways of sharing our faith and building relationships that lead to salvation.

5.

coachThe Sevillians are a beautiful people who are very colorful in the way they dress. Their outward appearance plays an important role in their society.

***Please pray with us that God would help us show them how important it is to invest in their inner beauty.  And that their hearts would be so full of Jesus that it would outshine their clothes and decorations!

6.

aqueduct wide up close.JPG

You can find aqueducts like this all over southern Spain. For centuries cities like Sevilla depended on life-giving water from outside the city to sustain them. Now the cities and their inhabitants believe they are selfsupporting.

Pray with us that the people of Sevilla would once again learn to be dependent on someone outside of themselves for their lives and future. That they would "hunger and thirst" for God.

7.Alcazar.jpg

After centuries of Moorish occupation, the Arabic style, culture and way of thought can be found in many aspects of Sevillian life. Most of the important buildings have been transformed and "christianized" by the catholic church, but the city's thousands of Muslim immigrants have not.

Please pray with us that we would find creative ways of building meaningful relationships with our Muslim neighbors that would lead to their salvation.

8.vista general.jpg

There are over 800,000 people that live and work in Sevilla. If we include the surrounding villages and towns we find over 1 million people in this fourth largest city in Spain. How can we reach an entire city for Jesus Christ?!           One Heart at a time.....

Pray with us that God would give us supernatural ability to learn the heart language of Sevilla. That we would learn Spanish so rapidly that it would be obvious to all that it is a God thing.

Fountains like these can be found all over southern Spain. Some have religious importance, while others are the local version of a drinking fountain.

Pray with us that the younger generation who are already thirsting for "more" would find what they are looking for in Jesus. And pray that we would have Witnesses as plentiful as these drinking fountains, but  full of the Spirit and Truth that will quench their spiritual thirst for all eternity!

The High Speed trains transports Sevillians to Madrid in under 3 Hours and travel at speeds in excess of 130 MPH.

Pray for the many mission teams and workers that will visit us and share in our ministry. For their safety and travel as well as for creativity in ministry and a burning passion to see the people of Sevilla won to the Lord.

paella1.JPG

Paella is a traditional and very popular Andalusian dish made with rice, chicken, pork and all kinds of yummy seafood. Whenever Paella is served, there are plenty of hungry guests and friends there to help you enjoy the meal.

Please pray with us that the Gospel and a true relationship to Christ would become so enticing and "appetizing" that the people of Sevilla would come running!
